Initial Heart Swap

Last month I participated in the Initial Heart Swap run by none other than Cheryl over at Gone Stitchin'.  While I was a just a bit late in sending my gift due to life getting in the way, I did receive mine all the way from the UK on time. My partner was the lovely Melanie and she sent me some lovely gifts.

The chocolate did not last long I must say and the stitchery is adorable with my initial within the heart

Initial Heart Swap 2015

Boy have I been busy the last month.  Lots of work and away for various reasons.  Still not slowing down as in two weeks time I fly out to Aussie for Lets Get Stitched 2015 and from now until then have only two days off work, and when I am at work four are night-shifts and then straight into days without a break.  Everyone thinks I am mad.... I think I am mad ...... I am mad, but the end result is I am going to meet up with some fabulous girls I have either meet or have meet online. Anyway, what I have completed is the Initial Heart swap which the lovely Cheryll has hosted again.  This time round (I missed last years), I sent to Maria from Life on the Block.  I got this idea online from A Little Sweetness and used one of my mini charmpacks.

I had practiced with my sewing machine and stitched Maria's initials on it, then before I sent I happened to be at Spotlight and found a "M" charm so put that on too. Also in the package I put some yummy sweets for her. I received from Lyn (no blog) and absolutely love my gifts and the chocolate is still intact, but not for long.

Initial Heart Swap Sent

Last month I joined up to the Initial heart Swap 2013 that Cheryll held again.  My partner was Helen from here in New Zealand and I sent her this heart along with some chocolate.

Initial Heart Swap Received

Last week I received my gift from Clare who also is from New Zealand and boy was I a lucky girl.  I received this lovely cross stitch needle/thread keep.

Clare has stitched on both sides and if you look carefully your can find my initial "M"

I also received some heart lollies ....yum yum.... one of my fav lollies and a tin with truffles.

Start the of year, means the start of new Swaps, BOM's and joining in a lot of new things or continuing on with what you were doing last year.
