Blocks And Hexi's Done

This month has been my first month in Christmas Quilting Block Swaps Australia and my partner was Lorraine from here in New Zealand.  She asked for Ohio Star in traditional Christmas colours.

For the October block over at Quilting Block Swap Australia I had Janeene and she asked for any star block and liked reds, purple and neutrals.  I made her this Friendship Star.

Then for Our Craft Forums 2012 Monthly Sampler Block Experience I made this Broken Sugar Bowl Block.  I was lucky as I just had enough grey material to make it.  Now to sew it altogether.

Finally the lastest hexi's from the Hexagon Swap over at the CraftLovers Online Forum.
This one I am sending to Candlepatche.  She has asked for a mixture of greens, browns and pinks.

I am sending this one to Norma. She has asked for any shade of blue with a white centre.

Last month I received this hexi from LynB to go with my collection.

A Great Birthday Had By ME!!

On Thursday it was my birthday.  I received some great pressies from the family including Casablanca and Little Fockers on DVD, lots of chocolate, a gift voucher, a new nightie...did I say lots of chocolate?

Also in the mail came a couple of gifts.  One was from Our Craft Forum's birthday club.  Lots of lovely goodies in this parcel.

Then at the start of the year I signed up to Leona's Quilting Adventure Birthday Club and from her I received this lovely parcel.

Not a birthday present, but on the same day in the mail came my book I had ordered from The Book Depository, Redwork Winter Twitterings.  A lot of stitching I can see coming now.

Also just after I had moved into our new place and got back from Miss 16 Trampoline Championships, I had a big pile of mail waiting for me and in it was my lovely black and white bag from my Lets Exchange partner Linda.  You can go visit Linda over at Sew Nicely

In it was some lovely soap and scented sachets.  Thankyou very much Linda

Finally I must say that I have very amiss in the Once Xmas Item A Month in the last few months, but this month I have made something for a Xmas Swap over at the group Sew Swapit on Facebook.  I can not say who it is to but I can show a picture.

The material is from Kate Spains Joy range....love it!!

2012 New Zealand Trampoline Nationals

Well I have moved and also been away dowe to Dunedin with Kristen for the 2012 NZ National Trampoline Championships.  While no NZ titles to match the two she got last year, it was close.

Kristen got 2nd on 15-16 yr Womens Double-mini Trampoline.  Missing out in first place by 0.3.  She was devastated over it.  I had to keep on reminding her that she is lucky as some people go to Nationals for years and never medal.  She was also injured which didn't help one bit.  I think what may have bugged her was she hadn't been beaten since March 2011.  She was over it anyway by that night and the next day went on to win bronze in the 15-16 Women Syncro Trampoline, which she thought she wouldn't get anywhere in. Then on the last day she got 4th on Trampoline which she was happy with as it was a tough competition in the age group this year.

While down in Dunedin we went for a drive to the worlds steepest street.  I didn't walk it but Kristen did.

Fun time had by all

A Table Runner

Over at the Sew Swapit Facebook page I have recently participated in a table runner swap.  The theme was to be either Autumn or Halloween, so I chose Autumn and this is what I sent to my partner.

Black And White

I have participated in the Let Exchange 2012 swap this time round.  We had to make a black and white bag and put something scented with it.  I chose to make this Buttercup Bag and put a scented sachet in it before posting.

Linda from Sew Nicely is the lucky recipient of this bag and is currently on the way to her as I type.

Oh and a couple of months ago I was in another bag swap and sent this one over to Mary in Australia.
