Another Christmas Swap

I was in a few Christmas swaps this year and though some were quite stressful as I also moved in November I got them all done, even though it was touch and go.

Another swap I was in was the Sew Swapit Christmas swap.  I am hoping what I sent has made it to where it is, but with the silly season it could be late.  Fingers crossed.

I really love making these decorations

I again received some lovely gifts and these are from my partner Cam

1 Xmas Item A Month ....... Better Late Than Never

Yes it is a few days late, but better late than not but here is my 1 Xmas Item a Month finish and I can say wow two months in a row I have posted about something.

This is the Santa Sack I made for my partner Raewyn which she has got now for the Santa Sack Swap.  I posted yesterday the stocking I got from her.

I also have sent this lovely table runner and coasters away for the Sew Swapit Secret Santa Swap I have also been in.

And this is what I received from my partner Minnie in the weekend

Everyone Loves An Apron

I know everyone loves an apron. They are so good protecting your clothes from all that food you might splash when cooking, or with me I have a habit of wiping my hands on my thighs. Naughty I know. So when the opportunity to participate in an Apron Swap over at Sew Swapit came along I jumped in eagerly.

I now know that my partner has received her apron, so here are the results.

I sent mine over to Ruth in the US.  The material I found at Spotlight when away a month ago and I thought perfect.  Apron patterned material for the apron, so I had to get it.  Instead of hemming the apron I lined it instead which turned out perfect.

Miss 17 loved being the model...lol for this one and then again for the one I received from my partner Sara.

Another Swap Received

A couple of days ago I blogged about the Quilters Choice swap items I have sent to my partner which is held over at the Sew Swapit group on Facebook.  You can see the post here with the photos of the table runner and cushion cover I made.

Well I  received mine a couple of weeks ago in the midst of getting sick (which I am still not quite over) and doing night shift at the hospital (which I had to call in sick for one night), so am only posting about them now.

Rhonda sent me this lovely bag, with a gorgeous owl on it, a covered notebook and a tissue cover which fits in my handbag nicely, so is missing for the photo shoot.

Also over at the same group I am participating in an Apron swap too.  I have yet to send mine, but have received mine from Sara which Miss 17 is modelling for me.

She only modelled it because I said her head wouldn't be in the picture, then got the apron on and things changed lol.

FNSI Results

I am a bit late posting about what I got up to on Friday night but had to wait until my camera battery was charged again to take photos.

I am currently in a swap over at the Facebook group Sew Swapit and just needed to get binding done on a table runner and to sew in a zip on a cushion so this is what I worked on.

This swap is going over to the US to Deanna.  On her preferences we got sent out, I saw lots of red and instantly thought of making these Disappearing 9-patch items.

A Concert, A Zoo, A Block And A Swap

Last night I went to an epic concert.  I love Fun. and had said if they come to New Zealand I will go see them.  Well they came, I got tickets and I went, taking Kristen and Anthony with me.  Well all I can say is that they were awesome and if they come back I'll be back to watch them.

Before we went to the concert we obviously done some shopping, and we went to the Auckland Zoo.  We haven't been there since 2007 so I treated the kids.  The kids loved it and we had fabulous weather for it.

Now onto the crafty things.  Here in my February block I received from Ann for CQBSA

Another loved block.

Also I had an Angel send me a lovely parcel for the Cushion Cover swap over at the Sew Swapit Facebook  group I am part of.

I absolutely love the colours.

Well that's all for now and don't forget tomorrow I am drawing my giveaway, so head over to this post and enter.

Edited to add that you may have read that Google Reader is going in a few months so I have exported all my blogs I am following over to BlogLovin to read them there.  You can also sign up and do this and follow my blog this way.

Another Cushion Cover

Another swap, another cushion cover.  This time I made this cover for Michele over at our Sew SwapIt group on Facebook.  I used just a simple disappearing 9-patch block and then quilted it.  Am hoping it has arrived by now and she likes it

And here is a photo of Ginda enjoying the shade and keeping out of the sunshine.

Finally, last Friday I had signed up to FNWF but unfortunately other things came up and did not get to do anything.  So may just have to make up for it next month.

A Great Birthday Had By ME!!

On Thursday it was my birthday.  I received some great pressies from the family including Casablanca and Little Fockers on DVD, lots of chocolate, a gift voucher, a new nightie...did I say lots of chocolate?

Also in the mail came a couple of gifts.  One was from Our Craft Forum's birthday club.  Lots of lovely goodies in this parcel.

Then at the start of the year I signed up to Leona's Quilting Adventure Birthday Club and from her I received this lovely parcel.

Not a birthday present, but on the same day in the mail came my book I had ordered from The Book Depository, Redwork Winter Twitterings.  A lot of stitching I can see coming now.

Also just after I had moved into our new place and got back from Miss 16 Trampoline Championships, I had a big pile of mail waiting for me and in it was my lovely black and white bag from my Lets Exchange partner Linda.  You can go visit Linda over at Sew Nicely

In it was some lovely soap and scented sachets.  Thankyou very much Linda

Finally I must say that I have very amiss in the Once Xmas Item A Month in the last few months, but this month I have made something for a Xmas Swap over at the group Sew Swapit on Facebook.  I can not say who it is to but I can show a picture.

The material is from Kate Spains Joy range....love it!!

A Table Runner

Over at the Sew Swapit Facebook page I have recently participated in a table runner swap.  The theme was to be either Autumn or Halloween, so I chose Autumn and this is what I sent to my partner.
